British woman killed in stabbing attack at Germany railway station

A British woman has died after being attacked by a man with a knife at a railway station in Germany.

The 31-year-old,who has not been named,was stabbed in the early hours of this morning at Rosenheim station,near the border with Austria.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 12.50am,but the woman died in hospital as a result of her injuries.

A 27-year-old German man from the town of Fürstenfeldbruck,west of Munich,was arrested at the scene.

The Bavarian Police confirmed a murder investigation is now underway.

In a statement,the force said: ‘In the early morning hours of Sunday,August 30,2026,at approximately 12.50am,the Rosenheim Integrated Control Center received a report that a woman had been attacked with a knife and seriously injured at Rosenheim train station.
